My old meme-sharing group got shut down after 3 strikes in one week
I used to post memes about local politicians on a private Discord server, but after one joke about a city council zoning vote got flagged, the whole channel got banned 3 times in 7 days. Now I just host them on a self-hosted image board with no automated filters, but I still wonder if the same thing will just happen again. Has anyone else found a platform that actually sticks around for edgy political memes?

Found a local facebook group once that was just memes about the city council's bad decisions and it lasted like two years before someone got too specific about the mayor's DUI. now we're all scattered across three different reddit subs that keep getting quarantined. honestly the best setup i've seen is just a shared google drive folder with a password thats passed around by word of mouth.

3 strikes in a week is honestly impressive, you basically speedran getting your server nuked. At this point just run the whole thing off a Raspberry Pi in your closet and pray the feds don't care about your zoning joke. If the internet wanted your memes dead they'd just make the whole concept illegal by now.

lol "speedran getting your server nuked" is the most accurate description i've ever heard. i had the same thing happen with a telegram group about local school board memes, got nuked twice in one week and now i just use a backup matrix server that nobody knows about. feels like you either go totally underground or just accept the ban cycle lmao.
