My own meme got pulled by a platform I used to defend
I used to think the big platforms were fair about removals. Then last month I posted a simple edit of a politician's speech where he said the word 'cheese' 12 times, and it got flagged as 'manipulated media' within an hour. No warning, no appeal button that worked, just a notice that my account was on watch for 90 days. That turned me around completely, now I think any removal without a clear rule and a human review is just quiet censorship. Has anyone else gotten a vague takedown that made them flip sides on this issue?

Warned myself the last time I tried to report a scam account and got a bot reply that made zero sense, so I feel your pain. Losing a meme is like getting a parking ticket for a car that wasn’t even moving, you just sit there confused and a little embarrassed. It took about three vague takedowns before I realized the appeal button is basically a form you fill out so they can ignore you faster. Now I just save everything locally and treat platforms like a library that might ban you for reading too loud. Still, your cheese speech edit sounds hilarious, I kind of want to see it before it gets wiped from history.

Fix the cheese speech claim, that one was about plumbing, not cheese, but I get the mixup.
