My uncle Bob changed my mind about political memes yesterday
He showed me a banned meme about the border wall and asked why I was so quick to share stuff without checking if it was even real first. He's a retired cop from Tucson, so has anyone else had a family member make you question what you're actually adding to the conversation?

Holy crap, that FEMA thing? I saw that same one flying around my feed and almost shared it too before my brother-in-law who's a volunteer firefighter set me straight. Made me look real stupid real fast.

Watched my cousin do the SAME thing with some viral meme about FEMA. Felt like a total idiot when his dad pulled up the actual facts in about 30 seconds. Now I just scroll past anything that sounds too perfect or too outrageous. Takes way less effort than getting schooled by someone with life experience.
