Spent $200 on a VPN that promised uncensored access and got blocked from everything within a week
Signed up for a VPN last month thinking I could finally see memes from countries that ban them, but a week later my own internet provider blocked the VPN IP and I couldn't even load Reddit, has anyone found a service that actually works for getting around these blocks?

Used to think any VPN would do the trick, but getting blacklisted by my own ISP changed my mind pretty fast.

Yeah, free VPNs are a trap now. ISP's flag them quick. Gotta do the research or get burned.

Jumping in here because I went through something similar last year. I ended up switching to a VPN that lets you pick your own protocol and change ports, so it looks like regular traffic to my ISP. Took some trial and error, but now I can browse everything without getting blocked. @the_tessa is right about free services being a lost cause, but even some paid ones get caught quick if they don't give you those customization options. Mine was a flat fee for the year and I haven't had a single issue since I set it up right.
