The time a meme about a local mayor got scrubbed from three platforms in one day
I saw this happen back in April with a meme about the mayor in my town, Springfield. Someone made a simple joke about their parking ticket policy and it got flagged as hate speech on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit within 8 hours. The meme just had a picture of the mayor with a quote about raising fines, nothing violent or racist. It made me wonder how fast platforms can kill something that's barely political. Has anyone else watched a harmless local meme vanish that quick and think about who's really deciding what we see?
