A professor in my philosophy 101 class made me flip on free speech
She pointed out that my 'all speech is free' stance ignored how threats and harassment actually shut down other people's voices. After she gave the example of a student being shouted down during a campus talk in 2019, I started seeing the difference between debate and intimidation. Has anyone else had a teacher change their whole view on this?
