Am I the only one who got dress coded at a college dorm meeting for a shirt that said "Nope"?
Back in October 2021 at my school in Kalamazoo, a residence advisor pulled me aside after a floor meeting and said my plain black shirt with the word "Nope" on it could "create a hostile vibe" for the group chat drama that week. I had to turn it inside out and sit through the rest of the meeting while everyone stared at me like I had done something awful. Has anyone else been told a single short word on clothing counted as speech that had to be shut down?
