Found out my alma mater spent $14k to "review" a professor's lecture on white privilege back in 2019

Holy cow, fourteen grand just to review a lecture? That's a wild amount of money for something that probably could have been handled with a quick conversation. How do schools justify spending that kind of cash on a single review?

Read an article last month that said schools hire outside "consultants" to rubber stamp stuff like this so admin has cover when parents complain about spending. Still seems like a rip-off though.
