Got banned from my college's subreddit for 30 days over a joke about the dining hall
Posted something dumb about the pasta bar and the mods pulled it in under an hour. Now I can't even ask about textbook swaps, has this happened to anyone else here?

Yeah thats not really how reddit bans work tho. The sub mods can only ban you from their own sub, they cant touch your whole account or stop you from posting in other subs. So when you say you cant ask about textbook swaps, thats only true if the swap thread happens to live in that same sub. If your school has a separate buy/sell sub or a discord or whatever, you should still be fine there. 30 days is pretty standard for a first ban too, so its not like they nuked you forever. Just message the mods through modmail after a few days and keep it short, no jokes this time. If the pasta thing was actually against a posted rule then they prob wont budge, but some mods will cut it down if you ask nice.
