Showerthought: I paid $180 for a campus free speech lawyer who just sent one email
Back in 2022 my student group tried to hand out flyers about a campus event and got shut down by admin. I panicked and hired a free speech lawyer for $180. He sent one vague email asking them to reconsider. That was it. Two weeks later we were still banned. If your school pulls this, check if there is a free legal group like FIRE first. Has anyone actually gotten a paid lawyer to do more than send a letter?
