Update: got silenced at a campus forum in Columbus, now I get it
I used to think everyone complaining about campus speech rules was overreacting. Then last month at OSU I watched a student get cut off mid-sentence for citing a study the moderator called 'politically loaded'. The weird part was seeing 3 professors just nod along. That moment made me realize the problem isnt the rules, its how quietly everyone accepts them. Has anyone else had a moment where you saw it happen in person and it clicked?

...and honestly it reminded me of this time I sat in on a city council meeting back in 09 where the mayor just waved off a woman who had data about the water quality, like she was some kid selling cookies. Same exact nod from the room, same exact silence.
