Client told me my fades looked "too stiff" so I ditched the clipper lever and started blending with shears entirely
After a 50 year old mechanic at my shop said my tapers felt like I was cutting with a ruler, I switched to shears for the blend zone and now I'm getting way more natural looks from my clients so has anyone else had a customer critique that actually improved their whole approach?

Honestly, swapping clippers for shears because one guy said your fades were stiff sounds like a lot. People have opinions, man. Your client mightve just been having a bad day or wanted a free adjustment. Now youre out here ditching the clipper lever forever because of one critique from a mechanic? Ngl, that feels like overreacting to feedback that was probably just personal taste.
