Had an older guy tell me my fade was off by a quarter inch at the mirror

Last Tuesday this older customer sat down in my chair and I gave him what I thought was a perfect mid fade. After I spun him around he pulled out a small hand mirror and pointed to the back right side. He said it was just a hair higher there compared to the left. I checked it close and he was dead on, so I fixed it up. Any other barbers run into clients who are that detailed about their cut?

Oh man, that's wild (but also kind of impressive honestly). I can barely tell if my own socks match in the morning, let alone spot a quarter inch difference in a fade. Props to him for having eagle eyes though, even if it means more work for you.

Disagree honestly lmao. If you're paying someone to do a fade, that detail matters. A quarter inch is noticeable on a haircut, that's like a whole different look. He's not being picky, he's making sure he actually got what he paid for.
