Hit 4,000 straight razor shaves yesterday, never saw it coming

Been tracking my counts since 2019, just for fun. Yesterday afternoon I finished a head shave with a regular, looked at my book and it was number 4,000. That number seemed impossible when I started cutting hair in Austin back in 2018. My first year I think I did maybe 200 total, mostly failed attempts on my buddy's dad. Now I do about 15 a week plus whatever walk-ins show up. Anyone else keep a running count of a specific service? What number surprised you when you finally hit it?

How do you handle the record keeping when you're slammed? I used to write down every cut in a notebook but after about a year the pages got messy and I stopped. Curious if you log each one right after the shave or batch them at the end of the day. Also, do walk-ins and regulars go in the same book or do you split them up? You mentioned 200 that first year, so what changed around 2019 that got you tracking in the first place?
