Hot debate: do clipper-over-comb cuts really save time or just look sloppy?

I read on a barber forum last night that 65% of new barbers skip clipper-over-comb because they think it's outdated, but I've been using it for blend work and it cuts my scissor time in half. Which side are you on, and why do you think so many guys are ditching it?
