I started scanning my clippers with a toothbrush instead of compressed air
For years I used canned air to blow out my Wahl clippers between clients, like every other barber I knew. But last spring I noticed the air was just pushing the hair deeper into the motor housing, not actually cleaning it. I switched to a stiff nylon toothbrush and a small vacuum hose attachment, and I'm getting way more life out of my blades now. The canned air also costs about $6 a can and I was going through one every two weeks, so that adds up fast. Has anyone else found a better way to keep their clippers clean without the dust cloud?

The canned air blows stuff out vs just pushing it around though.

Has anyone tried using a small vacuum attachment like that, @taylor_flores it actually pulls the hair out instead of just moving it around?
