Just hit 200 beard trims this year and the number really got me thinking
I keep a tally on my station calendar, and I crossed it off last Friday. It's not just a haircut anymore for so many guys, it's a full service they plan for. I realized I've been using the same basic clipper guard technique for most of them, and maybe I'm getting lazy. Has anyone else noticed a shift and picked up a new scissor-over-comb or razor method to keep it fresh?

Totally get what you mean about the shift. That number really shows how it's become a proper grooming ritual now. Started forcing myself to put the clippers down first and use thinning shears to texturize before I even touch a guard. Makes a huge difference in how natural it looks, breaks up that blocky shape. It's more work but guys notice the detail. Stops the whole process from feeling like factory work.

Sounds like overkill for a basic trim.

Disagree with @mia_singh24, most guys just want a clean, fast cut.
