Not to downplay it, but is it really that bad? A little patience usually works fine.

Actually, I saw a report that said patience often fails with big service issues. @kelly673, waiting helps for minor delays, but some problems are just broken. Like when the DMV website times out after you fill everything out, you have to start over. Or when a delivery gets lost for weeks and no one can find it. Patience doesn't fix systems that are poorly set up. You end up wasting time instead of getting things done.
