PSA: Noticing all the empty gel cans in my trash made me change my whole setup
I was taking out the garbage last Tuesday and saw a pile of used styling product containers. It dawned on me that we go through dozens of these things every month, all headed to the dump. Now, I buy big jugs of pomade and gel and pump them into reusable metal dispensers at each station. The clients dig the cleaner look, and it's way easier to keep things stocked. I'm saving a good chunk of cash on supplies, which is always nice. Honestly, it's one of those simple fixes you wish you did sooner. More shops should try this, it just makes sense.

Tuesday's trash revelation is something more people need to have. It's easy to ignore the waste until you SEE it piled up like that. Your switch to refillable dispensers is a TOTAL game-changer for the industry.

Why does my brain never make these connections? I'll see a mountain of plastic wrap and packing tape from a move and just think 'job's done,' not 'holy crap, that's a lot of landfill.' Your fix is so smart (and makes your place look way more pro, which is a bonus). I'm definitely stealing this idea for our supply closet.

Man, my big moment was staring at a mountain of takeout containers... and just ordering more takeout. This actually makes me want to try being less of a trash monster for once. Good on you for doing something about it.
