Rant: I dropped $250 on a fancy titanium comb and I can't decide if it's a game changer or a total waste.
I'm torn because it glides through thick hair like butter and feels great in the hand, but my old plastic ones cost $5 and still get the job done, so what's the real value here?

My brother spent like $300 on a Japanese steel hairbrush last year and had the same crisis. The feel of a well-made tool is a real thing, but it's hard to justify the cost when the cheap version works. If you enjoy using it every day and it makes you happy, that's the value right there. The doubt just means you're a normal person who didn't grow up with titanium combs.

Actually it's a titanium comb, @evan_dixon67. The brush was steel. The comb is way lighter, that's the whole point.
