Realized my fade was off after a customer said 'nice taper' for the 5th time

I've been fading from the wrong angle for 6 months, tilting my clippers down instead of rolling the wrist, and a regular finally asked if my blade was dull because the blend looked choppy around the ear, has anyone else had that lightbulb moment mid-cut?
