Spent 45 minutes trying to fade a customer's crown

Turns out his hair grows in a double cowlick pattern I have never seen before and I had to completely restart the blend three times to get it right, has anyone else run into a weird growth pattern that just wrecked your timing?

Oh man that is brutal lol. I feel for you big time, spending 45 minutes on one crown fade is rough especially when the hair just refuses to cooperate. I had a guy once with a spiral cowlick that went in like three different directions, took me way longer than I expected and I felt bad keeping him in the chair. Those weird growth patterns really mess with your flow and make you second guess everything you know about fading. It always stings when you have to restart the blend because you know the clock is ticking and the client is just sitting there wondering what's taking so long. Hang in there man, some heads are just built to test your patience lol.
