Switched to a 0.5 blade on my fade and it changed everything

I tried using a half guard instead of my usual 1 for the blend line on a client with really coarse hair. The transition came out way smoother with no visible lines. Anyone else use different guards for different hair textures?

That little detail makes all the difference, like how a slightly different key opens the same lock easier.

Does anyone actually think that changes everything though? I mean, a slightly different key might open the same lock easier, but we're talking about real life here, not a metaphor. That "little detail" could just be a tiny thing that nobody even notices. People get so caught up in these tiny differences like they're life changing. Half the time it's just a distraction from the bigger picture. I'm not saying details don't matter, but come on, it's not like we're solving world peace here.
