That $15 comb I laughed at made me rethink my whole kit
Been cutting for 8 years now, always used the same $3 plastic combs from the supply store. Last month a buddy who does booth rental downtown handed me one of those fancy carbon combs, said try it on a fade. I rolled my eyes but gave it a shot. The way it glided through wet hair, no drag at all, I finished the cut maybe 4 minutes faster. Went back today and grabbed two more. Anyone else ever get humbled by a tool they thought was a gimmick?

Man, that hits close to home. I've got a drawer full of cheap clippers and plastic combs that I swore were just as good as the fancy stuff. Then someone let me borrow their ceramic blade once and I felt like an idiot for fighting with my old gear for so long. It's wild how a simple tool can change your whole flow without you even realizing what you're missing. Good on you for giving it a real shot instead of just writing it off. Sometimes the wallet hurts but the hands thank you later.
