That before and after difference with a trimmer over 6 months

I was cutting this same client every 3 weeks for almost a year, and his beard was always patchy and uneven. Then about 6 months ago, I switched from my old Wahl detailer to a cordless BaBylissPro trimmer and the change was night and day. First cut with it, the lines came out sharper, no chatter marks, and his beard actually looked full. Now every time he sits down, I can knock out his edges in half the time and the shape holds way longer between visits. He even started getting compliments from his coworkers, which never happened before. I think the difference is the blade angle and the zero gap adjustment, but I'm not sure if it's the tool or just me getting better at fading around the jawline. Has anyone else seen a big shift in their work after swapping trimmers, or is it more about technique?

Man it's wild you mention that... I've noticed the same thing with other stuff too. Like when I switched from my old socket set to a ratcheting one, suddenly I was finishing projects way faster and they just looked cleaner. Or even with cooking, my girlfriend got a nicer chef knife and suddenly her chopping was more consistent and she actually enjoyed prepping meals more. I think it's that combo of the tool making the work smoother which also makes you feel more confident, and that confidence then shows in the actual result... hard to pull apart exactly what's doing what.

Same thing happened when I swapped to a better clipper for my own beard sharpened everything right up.
