Tried a 30 dollar beard trim instead of my usual 15 and the guy spent 45 minutes on it
I figured it was a waste of cash but he lined up my jaw and neck way better than I ever get it, so now I'm wondering if I've been overcharging at 15 this whole time. Any of you guys price by time instead of by the cut?
Did the 30 dollar guy actually take his time or just keep stopping to talk? I had the same thing happen last year, paid double at a new spot and the dude spent like 40 minutes on a fade that my old barber knocked out in 15. Difference was he actually used a straight razor on my neck line instead of just buzzing it, and it looked way cleaner for like two weeks longer. Still not sure if that's worth paying double every time though, feels like I'm just buying the guy's patience at that point. Maybe the move is going to the fancy place once a month and doing the cheap trim in between.
