Unpopular opinion: the barber college down on 5th lets students cut for $8 and I think every new barber should do it
Stopped by the barber college on 5th Street last Tuesday to get a cheap cut while my clippers were in for repair. Watched a student take 45 minutes on a simple fade, and his instructor checked every pass before he moved on. The guy next to me got a lineup that took three tries, but the instructor caught it each time and made him start over. Honestly the cut I got was cleaner than some $30 chairs I've sat in. Any of you ever send a struggling apprentice to a school like that, or is that just me being cheap?
