Update: I finally tried a hot towel after a fade, something I thought was just for show

A regular asked for it last Tuesday, and his skin felt way smoother with zero irritation. Anyone have a good method for keeping the towels hot without a fancy warmer?

Honestly a cheap crock pot from a thrift store is a game changer. Just fill it with water and keep it on the low setting, towels stay hot all day. Tried the microwave method but they cool down way too fast. That steady heat makes a HUGE difference for the skin.

I get the appeal but that "huge difference" you're talking about might not be all good. Leaving towels in hot water all day in a thrift store crock pot just sounds like a bacteria farm waiting to happen. I tried something similar once with a slow cooker and after a few hours the water started getting that weird film on top. Plus those crock pots don't always hold a steady temp, the low setting can swing pretty wide. A damp hot towel is a breeding ground for stuff you don't want on your skin.

A thrift store crock pot is actually genius.
