Warning: I watched a barber go from zero to hero in six weeks

This new guy at the shop next door started about a month and a half ago, and his first few fades were rough, like he was scared of the clipper. He told me he spent $40 on a fading course from a guy on YouTube. Now his lines are clean and his blends are smooth. It's wild how fast someone can turn it around when they find the right help. Anyone know of other good online teachers that aren't just hype?

My neighbor's kid did the same thing with guitar. He was stuck for a year, then some guy on Skillshare showed him a different way to hold the pick. It's all about finding that one teacher who explains it in a way that clicks for you.

My old bass teacher fixed my timing in one session.

Oh man, @dakota_king3, that's so true. It's like a mental block gets cleared when someone just says the thing differently. I saw a video where a drummer finally got a tough beat after a teacher told him to just say "hot cup of tea" out loud instead of counting. Sometimes you just need that one simple trick.
