Banned from a gardening group on Facebook for asking about mulch

I got kicked out of a Facebook group called "Green Thumb Circle" last week after one comment. A member named Karen posted about her tomato plants and I asked if she used cedar or pine mulch, because cedar can mess with the soil. The admin said I was "seeding distrust" and banned me in under 2 minutes. Has anyone else been booted from a group for a normal question?
