Got a week-long ban from a local Facebook group for calling out a fake news story
Someone posted a wild story about our town council banning flags, and I linked to the real meeting minutes showing it was false. The admin said I was 'causing drama' and muted me for a week. I thought they'd want to stop lies, but they just wanted a quiet group. It made me see how some places care more about peace than truth. Has anyone else been banned for trying to correct something that was just plain wrong?

Remember that time the school newsletter said they were cutting art class? My mom called the office to check and they said it was a typo, but the PTA president got so mad at her for "stirring things up." Why do people shoot the messenger?

Oh man that's SO typical. I once got yelled at for telling a friend their fly was down, like I was the one who invented zippers or something. Guess I should just let people walk around with their pants half open next time.

Ugh that's so annoying! It's like when I told my neighbor the HOA was gonna start fining people for trash cans left out past noon. She went off on me like I made the rule up myself, lol. People just hate being told bad news, even if you're just trying to help. They'd rather blame you than deal with the actual problem.
