Got banned from a city sub for pointing out a public park cost $14 million more than budgeted
Found the audit report buried on the city website after a 3 hour search, and when I posted the exact figure showing the $14 million overrun a mod deleted it for 'misinformation' even though I linked the PDF, has anyone else had mods ignore official documents like that?

Yeah I used to think the same way honestly. I figured mods were just being careful about random links since anyone can make a PDF that looks official. But then I had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I found a city council meeting transcript with timestamps showing the mayor admitted to cost overruns on a road project and got immediately banned when I posted it in the local sub. The mod literally told me "we don't allow personal interpretations of public records" which is just insane. It really changed my mind because it's not about the PDF looking sketchy, it's about mods protecting a certain image of the city. They don't want people digging up stuff that makes local government look bad. Your audit report probably showed something that embarrassed someone in power and they didn't want it getting attention.
