Got booted from a local Facebook group for disagreeing about a park fence
They wanted to put a 6-foot fence around the whole playground, and I posted that it felt like we were building a cage for kids instead of teaching them to be aware. The admin called it 'unsafe rhetoric' and banned me. Has anyone else been removed for a safety opinion that went against the group?

Wait, they banned you for that? Calling it unsafe rhetoric is a huge stretch. It's a fair point about balancing safety with letting kids learn. That kind of admin power trip is why I barely use Facebook groups anymore. They just shut down any talk they don't like.

Wait, wasn't it the group admin who made that call, not Facebook itself? Most of those parent groups on Facebook let mods run things however they want, which means one person's opinion can get you booted for almost anything. It's a real shame when people misuse that power, but at least you dodged a group that wasn't worth your time anyway.
