Got my gardening forum account locked for posting a picture of my tomato plants with a specific fertilizer brand name visible

After my account got flagged for 'promotion' because the bag of 'GrowRight 10-10-10' was in the shot, I realized the trick was to just describe the NPK ratio numbers instead of ever saying the brand, and my next post asking about 'a 10-10-10 mix' got tons of helpful replies with zero moderation.

Man, my buddy had the same thing happen with fish tank stuff, totally get what @evan_dixon67 means.

Yeah, that's the move. I've started just calling things by their generic type, like "water soluble 20-20-20" or "a slow release pellet." It gets the exact same info across without tripping any filters. The bots just scan for trademarked names.

Actually, that whole workaround just makes things worse for everyone. If people can't name the exact product they used, how is anyone supposed to learn what actually works? Saying "a 10-10-10 mix" is useless when ten different brands make one and half of them are garbage. Real advice needs real names, otherwise the forum is just full of vague guesses. The mods should fix their bot instead of forcing us to talk in code.
