Got perma-banned from a knitting forum for saying "yarn barf"

I was in a Ravelry group for chunky wool projects and made a joke about dealing with "yarn barf" when my skein tangled. A mod named Sarah gave me a warning for using "derogatory language." I argued it was a common term in other groups and she banned me after 3 messages. Has anyone else been hit with a weird ban for using normal slang in a niche community?

Wait didn't I see someone post about getting banned from a fish keeping forum for saying "cichlid aggression" was just normal fish behavior? Sounds like some of these niche mods just pick one word they don't like and go nuclear. It's weird how "yarn barf" is totally fine in like 50 other knitting spaces but one mod decides it's offensive and suddenly you're out.

Mods have to make judgement calls, and that stuff ruins the vibe for everyone.
