Got perma'd from a fishing forum for defending a $35 rod, started my own sub instead
Last spring I got permabanned from a big bass fishing board after a mod told me my Fenwick Eagle was 'a toy for kids' and I pushed back once. I had a choice: make a new account and lurk, or actually start the little sub I kept thinking about. I went with the sub, r/cheapbassgear, and two days ago we crossed 800 members. My best post there is a guy in Ohio who landed a 6 pounder on a $12 Walmart spinnerbait. How long did your ban keep you off the water before you found a new spot to talk?
