I got banned from a recipe group for asking if anyone else thought the 'secret ingredient' was just salt
Got kicked out of a 40k member Facebook cooking group on Tuesday because I commented that the famous 3 ingredient cake everyone was losing their minds over tasted exactly like the box mix from the dollar store. I thought the whole viral recipe thing was just marketing fluff, so I tried it side by side with a $1.25 mix from Kroger and had 4 people at my office taste test them blind. Three of them picked the cheap box one. The admin told me I was being 'negative and unsupportive' and removed me before I could even post the results. What really got me was the recipe creator charging $12 for the 'full tutorial' when the box tells you everything on the back. Has anyone else gotten the boot for pointing out stuff like this, or is it just me?
