Just figured out why my 3 year old Xbox account got permabanned: I used the same recovery email on a second account
Took me 6 appeals and a guy on a forum in Manchester spelling it out for me to connect the dots, so has anyone else gotten nuked just for linking accounts by accident?

Yikes, that Manchester guy basically did more work on your ban than Microsoft support did. Meanwhile my dumb self once used the same email on two accounts and just sat there wondering why everything felt off for weeks. Lesson learned the hard way, keep your emails separate unless you want the ban hammer to find you.
