My $200 Etsy shop ban taught me something about their verification system
Last month I got banned from Etsy after listing a vintage camcorder, but the real reason was that their ID verification flagged my name for matching someone on a sanctions list (which I definitely am not). I sent in my passport three times and never got a straight answer from support. Has anyone else gotten the boot from Etsy for something that wasn't actually your fault?

Did you ever get a straight answer from their support or did they just keep giving you the runaround? It sounds more like a broken automated flagging system than you doing anything wrong.

Broken automated flagging system" is exactly what it felt like. They kept sending me copy-paste replies about "policy violations" but could never point to a specific post or action that triggered it.
