Paid $120 for a premium VPN after my ISP warning - did I just waste money or save my hide?
Got a nastygram from my provider about torrenting a Linux distro last month, so I shelled out for a no-logs VPN service that promised total privacy. Now I'm wondering if I just threw cash at a problem that could have been solved with free proxies or if I actually dodged a bigger headache down the road. Did spending that kind of money actually fix anything for you, or am I just paranoid?

I mean, I totally get the panic after getting one of those ISP warnings. It's like a cold splash of water, right? I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago after downloading a few episodes of a show, and I instantly went into "oh no, what do I do now" mode. For what it's worth, I think paying for a good VPN is probably better than relying on free proxies, because those can be sketchy and might even log your data. You probably saved yourself from more headaches down the road, honestly.

Yeah, I used to think free proxies were fine but your post totally changed my mind on that. Never really thought about them logging your data until now.
