Paid $80 for a second Reddit account after my main got nuked for one comment
About 7 months back I got permanently banned from a subreddit I actually liked for a comment a mod said was 'off topic.' No warning, no reply when I asked which part broke a rule, just gone. I got mad and paid $80 for a pre aged account with some karma so I could keep posting in there. It worked for 3 weeks until the mods ran one of those bot checks and flagged me anyway, so I basically lit 80 bucks on fire. A buddy of mine did the same thing with a Twitter boost once and got his card charged twice on top of it. Now I just lurk and keep my thoughts to myself, which feels like a loss for everyone. Has anyone actually gotten a ban reversed by appealing, or is that just a myth.
