Am I the only one who took 4 hours to fix a simple rear derailleur hanger?
Had a customer bike come in last Tuesday with shifting issues and I figured it was just a cable stretch. After 4 hours of messing with limit screws and tension, I finally realized the hanger was bent like 3 degrees. Anyone else spend way too long on what should be a 15 minute fix?

4 hours for a bent hanger? Sorry but that's on you, not the bike. A bent hanger is literally the first thing you check when shifting goes bad, not the last. Grab a hanger alignment tool and eyeball it before you start turning screws. I could've saved you 3 hours and 45 minutes if you had just looked at the thing square on. Limit screws and cable tension only fix stuff that's already straight, man.

Hmm, I don't know @eva_ward88, sometimes a hanger looks straight but it's just barely off.
