Cheap torque wrench bit me, glad I caved on the nicer one

I got a $35 beam torque wrench off amazon and it was way off, stripped a stem bolt on my gravel bike. Shop let me use their digital one and the difference was night and day, so I paid $150 for a CDI and now I actually trust my builds. Anyone else get burned by budget tools early on?
