Had a customer bring in a bike that hadn't been tuned in 15 years
The shift cables were basically fused into the housing, took me 2 hours just to get the old ones out without snapping everything. Has anyone else dealt with cables that old that just crumble when you touch them?

Fresh cables from 15 years ago weren't much better either, the old grease just turns into glue after that long. A little heat from a heat gun helps sometimes but you still end up fighting it the whole way.
