Saw a shop in Portland using a homemade stand for ebike motor work

Was in Portland last month and poked my head into a repair spot off SE Division, and they had a welded steel jig bolted to a bench for holding hub drive motors while they swap gears. Looked way sturdier than the vise and wood block setup I've been using, and they said a local welder made it for around $180. Anyone here built their own fixture for motor or gear work, and what did you use for the clamping part?
