Switched from Park Tool cable cutters to a cheap Dremel cutoff wheel for housing
Was fighting frayed cables for months until I tried zipping through housing with a Dremel on low speed and now I make perfect cuts every time in under 10 seconds, anyone else ditch the dedicated cutters?

Huh, I'm going the other way on this one. I tried the Dremel thing and went right back to my Park cutters. The Dremel always left this melted plastic lip on the inside of the housing that made cable routing a pain. Plus the dust and little bits of plastic flying everywhere got old fast. Maybe my Dremel is just junk but I never got a clean cut no matter how slow I went. I'll take the manual cutters that give me a clean sheared end with no cleanup any day.

Got a cheap pair of wire cutters from the hardware store that work fine for me, no melted plastic and less mess to clean up afterward. Plus they don't scare the cat when I'm working on the bench (the Dremel noise always freaked him out).
