Switched to a $12 chain checker after 8 years of eyeballing stretch, now a guy at the shop says I'm doing it wrong
Been using the cheap park tool cc-2 on every bike that comes in, and it caught three worn chains in one week that I would've passed before. Half the guys I know say the go/no-go gauges are fine, the other half swear you need a digital one or you're guessing. What's your go-to for checking chain wear on customer bikes?
