TIL a seized seatpost will give up after 6 days of penetrating oil

Bought a late 80s Peugeot frame off Craigslist and the seatpost wouldn't budge. I tried a pipe wrench, heat, the whole nine yards for two hours. Finally soaked it in Kroil every morning for a week and came back on day 6. Gave it a good twist with a breaker bar and it slid right out. Anyone else had a stubborn one that took days instead of minutes?

Six days of Kroil and a breaker bar sounds like a whole lot of patience for a seatpost. I would have given up after day 3 and just let the bike sit forever.

Day 4 is when stubbornness kicks in. The seatpost is now a personal insult.
