Torque wrench click lied to me on a carbon seatpost clamp
I torqued a seatpost clamp to 5 Nm on a customer's bike last Tuesday, heard the click, but the post slipped an hour later, so I checked the wrench against a digital gauge and it was reading 1.2 Nm high, has anyone else had a trusted torque wrench drift like that?

Man, that's a classic torque wrench fail right there. I had the same thing happen with an old beam-style wrench, turned out the internal spring was just worn out and it was reading almost 2 Nm off. I now check mine against a cheap gauge every few months, especially before touching carbon, and I've learned to trust the gauge over the click.
