Went with Park Tool chain whip over Pedro's and it bit me back
Had to choose between a Park Tool chain whip and a Pedro's one at my shop last Thursday. I picked the Park because it was $5 cheaper and felt heavier in my hand. First cassette removal on a sticky SRAM hub, the handle slipped and I whacked my knuckles on the chainring. Now I'm wondering if the Pedro's grip would have saved me the bandages.

That Pedro's grip might help but honestly I've had the same slip happen with Pedro's on a greasy SRAM hub. The real fix is keeping your chain whip handle clean and dry before you start.

Tried Pedro's on my old Sram hub last month and the rubber grip kept my hand from sliding even with greasy fingers. Have you ever wrapped tape on the handle before?
